Did you know that the verb благодарить-поблагодарить (to thank) is used with the Accusative case, благодарить родителей (to thank one’s parents), благодарить учителей (to thank one’s teachers)? However, the preposition благодаря is used with the Dative case, благодаря родителям (thanks to my parents), благодаря учителям (thanks to my teachers).
