Russian Indirect Questions with the Particle “ли”

Did you know that the Russian particle ли, used to form indirect questions, always goes in the second place in a sentence? The word that goes in the first place after “if” is always related to the information asked.

Он спросил меня, хорошо ли я себя чувствую.
He asked me if I was feeling well.

Саша поинтересовался, сдала ли я экзамен.
Sasha asked me if I had passed the exam.

Мама хотела узнать, хороший ли компьютер ты купила.
Mum wanted to know if you bought a good computer.
