Testimonials of the students of the Online Russian school Russificate
I would without question recommend Pavel as a teacher. I look forward to his lessons, as they are always enjoyable. Everything is learnt communicatively and you are never overloaded with burdensome grammar exercises, either in or out of class. His approach has not only provided me with the language I need for communication, but it has pushed me to use all the language that I have acquired. This has enabled me to speak much more freely and improve my confidence. As a result, I feel that I am progressing and my motivation has increased.
My name is Maia, I’m Slovenian and I’m a teacher of Russian and Spanish.
After I finished my studies in philology in Slovenia I enrolled in a two-year course (July/August 2007-July 2008) at the Russian language school in Moscow studied with Alexandra as my teacher.
I was taking an advanced-level group class with her, as well as individual classes. Her lessons were always very useful and interesting, and we discussed every possible topic, chatting about current events and reading magazine and newspaper articles. Alexandra always brought with her to class audio and video recordings, so that we could watch a film or cartoon, and then she prepare additional material based on what we had seen.
Alexandra knew how to include every student in the class even considering that some students required additional motivation. We worked hard during our lessons, but the atmosphere in Alexandra’s classes was always relaxed. She assigns a variety of tasks for homework, which I like, because I had come to Moscow to study and her lessons were always a lot of work.
Alexandra is an excellent specialist of the Russian language and she always explained everything very clearly. Her personality is also well-suited to her work, as she is a pleasant, warm, and patient person.
As both a student and a teacher, I would strongly recommend Alexandra as a teacher for any student.
Hello! My name is Eduardo and I’m from Barcelona. I learned Russian in Moscow from my teacher, Alexandra. In my opinion, Alexandra’s best qualities as a teacher are her complete devotion to her work and her attentiveness towards her students. I feel much more positively about my studies, better than ever before, due to the way Alexandra answers all my questions with politeness and precision. She is an excellent worker and a wonderful teacher.
I met Alexandra three years ago. At that time I was a post-graduate student at the Catholic University of Milan and I was conducting research for my doctoral dissertation in Moscow. I approached a Russian language school because I wanted to improve my spoken Russian, and I registered for individual classes with Alexandra. She is an extremely competent teacher – friendly, with an excellent command of her subject. Perhaps most of all I appreciated the fact that she was interested in linguistics, and we could discuss some of the topics that I was examining as part of my research. I still have the book by M. Kronhouse that she gave me!
I have been very impressed with Dana and can fully recommend her as a tutor. She takes the time to carefully tailor each class to my needs, even producing her own home tasks based on what we cover in each class. Dana takes the time to find relevant articles based on my interests and has the patience and knowledge to explain why things work the way they do. Dana is perfect if you really want to understand grammar, in particular why and how Russian works the way it does. She combines an academic, professional approach with a warm and friendly delivery making each class a pleasure to take part in.
I was a student of Svetlana during 3 years, first when I was working in Moscow, and then with Skype lessons.
The contribution from Svetlana as teacher of Russian language has been very productive and efficient. I was a complete beginner, and without being very fluent, I am now able to communicate in this language.
This is a great achievement for me.
She has always demonstrated a strong motivation to perform, a strong perseverance, with patience and high level of technical competency for teaching language.
But above all, I have been very impressed by her ability to understand several foreign languages, her continuous desire to learn and to improve her knowledge and her working capacity.
No need to say that her attachment to Russian literature was very communicative.
Finally, it was a pleasant moment to converse with her in French language, my mother tongue, as she also speaks this language.
It was a great pleasure and satisfaction to work with her.
Natalia is a terrific teacher who has helped me a lot to improve my Russian. I studied Russian many years ago and have used it only passively — reading and translating, but speaking very little and writing almost not at all. That means that my recollection of grammar and retention of vocabulary leave a lot to be desired. Natalia is very good at figuring out what I am trying to say, even when many of the words I use are wrong! She is patient, but also concentrates very well on steering our discussions in a focused way, so that I do not lose sight of the grammatical point we are working on. It has been very helpful to me to have the discipline of a weekly one-hour class, to force myself to work hard and do the homework.
