If you want to learn Russian I highly recommend you Russian lessons with Yulia. She is a great teacher and she can help you to improve all key language skills. During her lessons you watch some videos, talk with Yulia about different topics, do some grammar exercises, read some texts and also write some. So you need all four key language skills: writing, reading, listening and speaking. She really caters for your needs in Russian language and so you also can enhance your problems within the language or grammar. She also considers your personal wishes and wants to meet your objectives. So you can for example choose topics you’re interested in or choose grammar topics you need to repeat. Yulia is also a very patient teacher. When you don’t know a word she helps you and she explains everything very understandable. The lessons are nearly just in Russian and so you have to start thinking in Russian. Since I started my Russian lessons with Yulia my Russian language skills really improved and I will definitely go on learning Russian with her.

I was a student of Svetlana during 3 years, first when I was working in Moscow, and then with Skype lessons.
The contribution from Svetlana as teacher of Russian language has been very productive and efficient. I was a complete beginner, and without being very fluent, I am now able to communicate in this language.
This is a great achievement for me.

She has always demonstrated a strong motivation to perform, a strong perseverance, with patience and high level of technical competency for teaching language.
But above all, I have been very impressed by her ability to understand several foreign languages, her continuous desire to learn and to improve her knowledge and her working capacity.

No need to say that her attachment to Russian literature was very communicative.
Finally, it was a pleasant moment to converse with her in French language, my mother tongue, as she also speaks this language.
It was a great pleasure and satisfaction to work with her.

Most Russian teachers out there claim that they are very excellent teachers with so many years of experience in their bags, but in fact they are only natives with no real teaching background. However, with Yulia, it is a whole new ball game. She's a native Russian teacher and she really know how to teach her mother tongue properly. Also, she's completing all her teaching with many excellent exercises, which in my own opinion, help quite a lot to assimilate knowledge. I highly recommend her! I wish I would have known her sooner.

How it works

An online Russian Skype lesson is like a real Russian lesson in the classroom, because both the teacher and the student can see each other and speak to each other with the use of a headset and a web camera. If you are interested in receiving real time Russian lessons, you will have to install Skype because it allows interactive communication. Online Russian lessons are one-to-one classes, and if your Internet connection is fast and works properly, you will be able to hear the teacher perfectly, so it won't be a passive language learning experience, but an active one, with an important speaking component.
No, it is not just speaking! The newest Russian learning materials are scanned and sent to you via email; in this way both the teacher and the student will be able to use them during the lessons. In order to practise writing, the Russian keyboard has to be installed. We also do listening, using Internet podcasts and Youtube videos. Of course, we also do home reading, it is an important part of our course. For the beginner, pre-intermediate and intermediate levels we scan texts from the reading books. However, for advanced students we search for interesting texts on the Internet. Our main aim is to include all the language components into our Russian language course (grammar, vocabulary, communication, reading, speaking, writing and listening) and to use the communicative approach during our lessons.
We use the newest Russian language materials in our courses. The majority of them are scanned; some of them are used online.
A virtual blackboard is one of the main tools of our classes. During the class, you and your teacher build up an electronic scrapbook of material that is relevant to you and which can be reviewed at any time. We also use mindmaps, word clouds, infographics, interactive exercises and images, Google maps, flash cards and other resources related to new technologies.
The payment can be realized by a transfer to our Paypal account. Other payment options are also possible and can be discussed. Your payments are 100% secure: we never see your bank account or credit card information.
